I’d suggest a scrapbooking tote (available at most major crafting supply stores) and also those plastic drawers (you can purchase them at Walmart). Those would be perfect for sorting and catagorizing your embellishments. Sort them for different occasions or by type. You can also label the drawers for quick access.
Hope this helps!
I just found I was forgetting what I had as all my ribbons were in a bag, my embellishments in a draw etc… so what I did was invest in 2 of these http://www.alpharho.com/776_12.html
one of them was a sewing box with paper bobbins with it and I wrapped all my ribbon and embroidery thread around them.
The other was just like that one and in that I put my buttons, eyelets, brads etc… in it.
For my paper I used a card board box split with binders to separate all the different types of paper (textured, handmade, origami etc…)
For the bulker embellishments get a cardboard box (the size you find fits under your bed or in a cupboard) and put all your packs of embellishments etc.. in to there. I’ve bought a few really cheap small plastic baskets and just arrange things in there.
I find cardboard boxes alot more tougher then shop bought plastic ones. You could spend a lot of money buying a storage box and all it will need it for you to walk into it once or twice to get a hole in.
I buy fishing toggle boxes..there at walmart it has four plastic boxes inside.. under 10.00 for the hole thing.. I love them because you can take them out and take just the one plastic box out. each one has little compartments 20-30 of them in each box. so in total 80-120 compartments… one has tiny eyelets.. all colors have there own… one plastic has brads… one has bigger eyelets and the other has ribbon- enough to make for one page…
Hope this helps.. I run a great group that has alot of org. ideas

I use the small 3-drawer units you can buy at Target or a store like that. Organize by color, one color group per drawer (that way it’s easy to find things that coordinate with your paper). Put the larger items directly in the drawer then have a small divided craft container to hold small items like beads, eyelets, brads etc. Add that to the drawer as well.
Wind your ribbons on the plastic embroidery thread bobbins; you can get a bag of about three dozen for about $4-5 at any store that sells the embroidery thread (i.e. Michaels).
There are also nice drawer units at the Container Store and places like that. Have fun organizing!
